RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LA QUINTA FIXING THE PENAL SUMS OF FIDEL-
ITY BONDS REQUIRED OF CERTAIN CITY OFFICERS
AND ALL EMPLOYEES, AND AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT
OF THE PREMIUMS FOR SUCH BONDS.
The City Council of the City of La Quinta does hereby resolve
as follows:
SECTION l? FIDELITY BONDS. In accordance with Sections 65l8
and 6519 of the Government Code of the State of CAlifornia, fidelity
bonds shall be required of City officers and employees in penal sums
as follows:
City Clerk $ 5,000.00
City Treasurer $250,000.00
All other officers and employees of this City,
including deputies of the City Clerk and City Treasurer,
shall be covered by a fidelity bond or honesty position
bond, issued by a surety company authorized to do business
in the State of California, in the aggregate penal sum of
$250,000.00 for all such officers and employees.
If any person fills two or more of the offices and
positions described above, then only one bond shall be re-
quired for such person in an amount equal to the greatest
sum required for any such offices or positions held.
SECTION 2. PREMIUMS. The premiums for such bonds shall be
paid from the City's general fund.
APPROVED and ADOPTED this 1st day of May, 982.
