RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LA QUINTA REQUESTING CONTINUATION
OF SERVICES BY THE COUNTY OF RIVERSIDE.
WHEREAS, The City of La Quinta has incorporated effective
May 1, 1982; and
WHEREAS, Section 5448 of the Government Code of the State of
California provides for the continuation of services by the County
to the a?ea of the County which is now the City of La Quinta;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of La Quinta does
hereby resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. The Board of Supervisors of the County of Riverside
is hereby requested to continue to furnish, without charge, to the
City of La Quinta all services furnished to the area prior to the
incorporation of the City of La Quinta, for a period of tirne to and
including December 1 1982, or until such earlier date as the City
Council requests discontinuance of all or any portion of such
services.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall forthwith forward a certified
copy of this Resolution to the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors of
Riverside County
