FISCAL IMPLICATIONS: Funding levels will be determined as program descriptions and parameters are defined. Revenue sources for this program could include the City's General Fund and the Agency's Project No.1 and Project No.2 Redevelopment Funds. BACKGROUND AND OVERVIEW: The City's Redevelopment Agency received a report September 1 7, 1 996 outlining potential parameters for a business development and retention program. Subsequent to that meeting, staff continued its investigation into program options. Attachment 1 represents a status report of that investigation to-date and is submitted for the City Council's review and consideration. Frank Spevacek, RSG, will be in attendance at the Study Session to more fully describe program alternatives. FINDINGS AND ALTERNATIVES: Staff is seeking direction from the City Council on those programs of interest that staff should pursue and more fully develop. This area was originally graded with the site grading for the construction of the Civic Center in 1992/1993.
