A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA QUINTA, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING VOTING PRECINCTS AND POLLING PLACES, APPOINTING PRECINCT BOARD MEMBERS AND FIXING COMPENSATION FOR THE SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION OF THE CITY TO BE HELD ON TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 17, 1985, CALLED BY RESOLUTION NO. 85-50 OF THE CITY COUNCIL. WHEREAS, a special municipal election to be held on Tuesday, September 17, 1985, has been called by Resolution No. 85-50, adopted on June 5, 1985; and NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA QUINTA, CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That for the purpose of holding the special municipal election, there is established four voting precincts consisting of consolidations) of the regular election precincts in the City of La Quinta established for the holding of State and County elections, as the regular election precincts existing on the date of adoption of this Resolution. That the polling places for the respective precincts shall be the places designated; and that the persons named, being competent and qualified electors and residents of the City are appointed precinct board members for their respective voting precincts and they shall conduct the election in the manner provided by law. That the compensation of the persons previously named as precinct board members is fixed at the sum of forth dollars for each Inspector and thirty- five dollars for each Judge and Clerk for the election. The rental fee for each such polling place, where a charge is made, shall be the sum of twenty-five dollars for the election. When required, the compensation of the Custodian of a building shall be thirty-five dollars for the election. SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution and enter it into the book of original Resolutions. APPROVED and ADOPTED this day of 1985.
