A RESOLUTION OF TIIE CITY COUNCIL OF
T1E? CITY OF LA QUINTA, CALIFORNIA,
EXPRESSING SUPPORT FOR PROPOSITION ii
RELATIVE TO BEVERAGE ONTAINER DEPOSITS.
WHEREAS, roadside litter consisting of disposable bottles
and cans is a visual blight in the City of La Quinta; and
WHFREAS, the cost of removal of such litter is a burden
on the people of La Quinta.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of La Quinta, California, to express its support of
Proposition ii, which ill re?uire a deposit on all beverage
containers sold or offered for sale on or after March 1, i98?.
APPROVED and ADOPTED this Zist day of September 1982.
