CC Resolution 1984-021( RESOLUTION NO. 84-21
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LA QUINTA, CALIFORNIA, REQUESTING INCREASED LAW
ENFORCEMENT SERVICES.
WHEREAS, the City of La Quinta has entered into an agreement with
the County of Riverside providing for law enforcement services provided
to the City by the Riverside County Sheriff's Department; and
WHEREAS, said agreement as arnended through August, 1983, provides
for 36 service hours per day, seven 7) day? per week; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of La Quinta to increase said
level of service by four 4) hours to 40 service hours per day.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of La Quinta hereby
resolves
SECTION 1. The City of La Quinta hereby requests the Riverside
County Board of Supervisors to approve an increase in the present level
of services by four hours to 40 service hours per day, seven days per
week, effective July 1, 1984; and
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to sign and execute
the appropriate amendment at such time as it is prepared by the
County Counsel and submitted to the City of La Quinta.
