CC Resolution 1984-026) RESOLUTION NO. 84-26
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LA QUINTA, CALIFORNIA, PROVIDING FOR THE
ENFORCEMENT OF STATE LAWS AND REGULATIONS BY
THE COUNTY HEALTH OFFICER WITHIN THE CITY OF
LA QUINTA.
WHEREAS, the Health and Safety Code of the State of California,
Section 476, provides that When the governing body of a city in the
county consents by resolution or ordinance, the county health officer
shall enforce and observe in the city all of the following:
a) Orders, quarantine regulations, and rules prescribed
by the State Department and other regulations issued
under the provisions of this Code;
b) Statutes relating to the public health."
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of La Quinta,
California, does hereby resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. This City Council consents to such enforcement in
the City of La Quinta of such statutes, orders, regulations and
rules by the Health Officer of Riverside County.
SECTION 2 The City Clerk shall serve a certified copy of
this resolution on the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors of
Riverside County, and shall forward a copy hereof to the State
Director of Public Health.
