1995 04 04 RDA Minutes LA QUINTA REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY MINUTES April 4, 1995 Regular meeting of the La Quinta Redevelopment Agency was called to order by Chairman Sniff. PRESENT: Board Members Bangerter, Cathcart, Pena, Perkins, Chairman Sniff ABSENT: None CO??ON OF AGENDA Confirmed APPROVAL OF MINUTES M?ON It was moved by Board Members Cathcart/Bangerter to approve Minutes of March 21, 1995 as submitted. Motion carried unanimously. PUBLIC COMMENT Mr. Robert Tyler, 44-215 Villeta Drive, was opposed to property deals being discussed in Closed Session such as the auto mall and now there's another discussion regarding property close to his home. Re said that such discussions may be legal, but they don't stand well with the taxpayers. Mr. Genovese, City Manager, advised that if a Purchase and Sale Agreement is directed at the conclusion of any Closed Session it would be brought before the Council in open session for formal action at which time public comment would be allowed. BUSINESS SESSION 1 TRANSMITTAL OF TREASURER'S REPORT DATED FEBRUARY 28, 1995. MOTION It was moved by Board Members Bangerter/Cathcart to approve the Treasurer's Report dated February 28, 1995. Motion carried unanimously. CONSENT CALENDAR 1. APPROVAL OF DEMAND REGISTER DATED APRIL 4, 1995. MOTION It was moved by Board Members Bangerter?Pena that the Consent Calendar be approved as recommended. Motion carried unanimously. TRANSMITTAL OF REVENUE AND EXPENDITURES REPORT DATeD FEBRUARY 28, 1995. MOTION It was moved by Board Members Bangerter/Cathcart to receive and file the Revenue and Expenditures Report dated February 28, 1995. Motion carried unanimously. CHAIR AND BOARD MEMBERS' ITEMS Board Member Pena asked that the request by the Historical Society be scheduled on the next agenda for Agency review under Closed Session. Agency concurred. PUBLIC HEARINGS None Agency recessed to Closed Session. CLOSED SESSION 1. Conference with real property negotiator concerning 50 individual residential properties located generally in the Cove, specifically identified in the agreement with Coachella Valley Land negotiator, Byron Radakker instructing the negotiator concerning price and terms of payment for acquisition of properties pursuant to Government Code Section 54956?8 2. Conference with real property negotiator pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.8 regarding negotiations for proposed commercial and residential development including price and term of payment for property located southeast of the Washington Street and Miles Avenue intersection and north of Avenue 48 between Adams Street and Dune Palms Road. Applicant: Christine Clarke. Agency Board reconvened with no decision being made which requires reporting pursuant to Section 54957.1 of the Government Code Brown Act). There being no further business it was moved by Board Members Perkins/Bangerter to adjourn.
