MINUTES
JUNE 1, 1993
Regular meeting of the La Quinta Redevelopment Agency was called to order by Chairman
Pena.
PRESENT: Members Bangerter, McCartney, Perkins, Sniff, Chairman Pena
ABSENT: None
CONFIRMATION OF AGENDA
Ms. Honeywell, Agency Counsel, asked that an item be added to Closed Session under
Government Code Section 54956.8 regarding the interpleader action filed by Riverside County
Auditor Controller.
MOTION It was moved by Members Sniff/Bangerter that the interpleader action filed by
Riverside County be added to Closed Session agenda under Government Code Section 54956.8.
Motion carried unanimously.
PUBLIC COMMENT None
BUSINESS SESSION
1. CONSIDERATION OF MODIFICATION OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR
THE COACHELLA VALLEY HOUSING COALITION HOUSING PROJECT.
Chairman Pena, Member Bangerter and Member Sniff declared conflicts of interest.
There was then a drawing to determine who would be voting. As a result of the draw,
Member Sniff would be voting.
Mr. Genovese, Ass't. Executive Director, advised that Agency assistance is being
requested by Coachella Valley Housing Coalition in the amount of approximately $8,000
which will substitute three very-low-income households for three low-income-households
pursuant to the guidelines as provided for the program. Staff recommends approval as
they've already done the qualifications for these homeowners and because in developing
the program, the very-low category is the most difficult to achieve.
MOTION It was moved by Members Perkins/McCartney that the Agency grant
CVHC's request and provide an additional $7,959 to facilitate the substitution of three
very-low-income households for three low-income households, and direct staff to amend

the agreement to provide for this additional funding allocation. Motion carried with
Chairman Pena and Member Bangerter absent.
2. TRANSMITTAL OF TREASURER'S REPORT MARCH 31, 1993.
MOTION It was moved by Members Sniff/McCartney to receive and file the
Treasurer's Report. Motion carried unanimously.
CONSENT CALENDAR
1. APPROVAL OF DEMAND REGISTER DATED JUNE 1,1993.
MOTION It was moved by Members McCartney/Perkins to approve the Consent
Calendar. Motion carried unanimously.

a. Transmittal of Statement of Financial Position March 31, 1993.
Received and filed.
CLOSED SESSION
a. Discussion of negotiations pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.8
Williams Development Corporation proposal lor housing project including
potential land acquisitions in the Cove area.
Riverside County Interpleader Action
The Board reconvened with no action being taken.
