MINUTES
JANUARY 16, 1990
Meeting of the La Quinta Redevelopment Agency was called to order
by Chairman Pena.
PRESENT: Mr. Bohnenberger, Mrs. Bosworth, Mr. Rushworth, Mr.
Sniff, Chairman Pena
ABSENT: None
PUBLIC HEARINGS None
BUSINESS SESSION
1. CONSIDERATION OF PROPOSALS FOR REDEVELOPMENT OF SPECIFIED
SUBJECT AREA AND CONSIDERATION THAT REDEVELOPMENT OF SUBJECT
AREA BE ACCOMPLISHED AS AN INTEGRATED DEVELOPMENT.
MOTION It was moved by Mr. Sniff, seconded by Mr.
Bohnenberger that this matter be continued to February 6,
1990.
2 CONSIDERATION OF PAYMENT OF AGENCY'S PORTION OF THE
IMPROVEMENTS TO CALLE ULTIMO AND CALLE RONDO.
Mr. Kiedrowski advised that with the development of Tentative
Tract 23292 Duna La Quinta), the developer has been
conditioned to improve the north side of Calle Ultimo and the
east side of Calle Rondo, plus one travel lane on the
opposite sides of these streets. In order to provide for
adequate drainage and a reasonable street section, it is
recommended that the existing street be reconstructed and
curbs and gutters installed, much in the same manner as was
done recently on Sagebrush adjacent to Parc La Quinta.
In response to Mr. Sniff, Mr. Reynolds advised that the
improvements probably won t be done for about a year. The
cost is estimated at $60,000.
Mr. Bohnenberger asked if the streets are going to be
reconstructed1 what is the possibility of installing the
underground facilities, sewers and water at the same time.
Mr. Reynolds advised that he is checking the legality of
installing a dry sewer and getting reimbursement from the
assessment district.
MOTION It was moved by Mr. Sniff, seconded by Mr.
Bohnenberger that $60,000 be allocated for improvements to
Calle Ultimo and Calle Rondo. Motion carried unanimously.

MOTION It was moved by Mr. Sniff, seconded by Chairman Pena
that the Consent Calendar be approved as submitted. Motion
carried unanimously. MINUTE ORDER NO. RDA 90-3.
The Board adjourned to Closed Session to discuss litigation
Indio vs La Quinta Redevelopment Agency pursuant to government
Code Section 54956.9 a).
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
