A RESOLUTION OF THE LA QUINTA REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY RECEIVING
AND AUTHORIZING CIRCULATION OF DRAFT ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
REPORT FOR THE LA QUINTA REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT, SETTING PUBLIC
HEARING DATE THEREON, AND AUTHORIZING PUBLICATION OF NOTICE OF
COMPLETION AND AVAILABILITY OF DRAFT EIR AND PUBLIC HEARING
THEREON.
WHEREAS, the La Quinta Redevelopment Agency has prepared a draft
environmental impact report Draft EIR) for the La Quinta Redevelopment
Project in accordance with the provisions of the California Environmental
Quality Act, the State EIR Guidelines, and local procedures adopted
pursuant thereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the La Quinta Redevelopment
Agency as follows.
1. The Draft EIR for the La Quinta Redevelopment Project is hereby
found by the Agency to be sufficient to permit adequate evaluation and
review of the environmental impact of the Project.
2. The Draft EIR, in the form attached hereto, is hereby received
by the Agency as the Agency's Draft EIR for said Project for purposes
of circulation for review and comment by public agencies and members of
the public. Such comments shall be received by the Agency at its office
until 4:30 p.m. on October 25, 1983.
3. A public hearing to receive comments on the Draft EIR is hereby
set for Tuesday, October 18, 1983, at 7:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers,
La Quinta City Hall, La Quinta, California.
4. The Executive Director of the La Quinta Redevelopment Agency is
hereby authorized and directed to:
a) File a Notice of Completion with the State Clearinghouse in
accordance with Section 15085 of the State CEQA Guidelines California
Administrative Code);
b) Provide for the distribution of the Draft EIR for comment
from public agencies and others applicable with respect to the Project,
c) Publish notice once in the Daily News advising the public
of the completion and availability of the Draft EIR for review and
comment by the public, and of the public hearing thereon for such
purpose. Copies of the Draft EIR shall be maintained for public
inspection during the comment period from September 10, 1983, through
October 25, 1983, at the Agency's office and the City Hall.
APPROVED and ADOPTED this 6th day of September, 1983, by the
following vote:
AYES: Agency Members Allen, Cox, Henderson, Wolff and
Chairman Baler.
NOES: None.
