A RESOLUTION OF THE LA QUINTA REDEVELOPMENT
AGENCY RECEIVING THE PROPOSED REDEVELOPMENT
PLAN FOR THE LA QUINTA REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT,
REFERRING THE PROPOSED REDEVELOPMENT PLAN TO
THE PLANNING COMMISSION FOR REPORT AND RECOM-
MENDATION, AND AUTHORIZING SUBMITTAL OF SAID
PLAN TO THE RIVERSIDE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPER-
VISORS FOR APPROVAL
WHEREAS, The La Quinta Redevelopment Agency has prepared
and completed a Redevelopment Plan for the La Quinta Redevelopment
Project, which project includes lands within the City of La Quinta
as well as certain lands within unincorporated territory of the
County of Riverside; and
WHEREAS, the California Community Redevelopment Law
Health and Safety Code, Section 33000 et provides in
Section 33356 that prior to a joint public hearing on a
redevelopment plan, the redevelopment agency shall submit the
proposed plan to the planning commission; and
WHEREAS, the California Community Redevelopment Law
Health and Safety Code, Section 33213) requires the Board of
Supervisors of Riverside County to approve by any
redevelopment plan prepared by another authorized community
for redevelopment of an area within its territorial jurisdiction.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the La Quinta
Redevelopment Agency as follows:
1. The proposed Redevelopment Plan for the La Quinta
Redevelopment Project, in the form attached hereto, is hereby
received by the Agency and referred to the Planning Commission
of the City of La Quinta for report and recommendation.
2. The Executive Director is authorized to transmit the
Redevelopment Plan along with any supporting documents to the
Board of Supervisors of Riverside County for their approval
by ordinance, as required by Section 33213 of the Community
Redevelopment Agency.
ADOPTED this 20th day of September, 1983, by the following
vote:
AYES: Agency Members Allen, Henderson, Wolff and Chairman Baier.
NOES: None.
