RESOLUTION OF THE LA QUINTA REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF A VALIDATION ACTION
WHEREAS, the La Quinta Redevelopment Agency the
Agency') is a redevelopment agency a public body, corporate
and politic) duly created, established and authorized to
transact business and exercise its powers, all under and
pursuant to the Community Redevelopment Law Part 1 of Division
24, commencing with Section 33000) of the Health and Safety
Code of the State of California and the powers of the Agency
include the power to issue bonds for any of its corporate
purposes, and
WHEREAS, the Agency has authorized the issuance of tax
allocation bonds in a principal amount not to exceed Twenty
Million Dollars $20,000,000) in order to raise funds for the
implementation of the Redevelopment Plan of the Agency, and
WHEREAS, the Agency desires to validate the bond issue;
NOW, THEREFORE, the La Quinta Redevelopment Agency
does hereby resolve, determine and order Stradling, Yocca,
Carlson & Rauth to file a validation action in the Superior
Court for the County of Riverside to obtain a judgment that the
bonds have been issued in accordance with applicable law.
