RDA Resolution 1995-05^# I RESOLUTION NO. *5 RESOLUTION OF I1IE LA QUINTA REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY MAKING CERTMN FINDINGS WIIII RESPECT TO LOW- AND MODERATE- INCOME HOUSING IN CONNECTION WITh THE REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR THE LA QUINTA REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AS AMENDED BY AMENDMENT NO.1 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of La Quinta, California the City Council") did duly pass and adopt Ordinance No.43 on November 29, 1983, and did thereby adopt and approve the Redevelopment Plan for the La Quinta Redevelopment Project the Redevelopment Plan"); and WHEREAS, the City Council did duly pass and adopt Ordinance No.258 on December 20, 1994 and did thereby revise certain time limitations set forth in the Redevelopment Plan in compliance with Section 33333.6 of the Community Redevelopment Law, California Health and Safety Code Sections 33000, er *q. the Community Redevelopment Law"); and WHEREAS, the La Quinta Redevelopment Agency the Agency") has undertaken the required steps for the consideration of the adoption of a proposed amendment the Amendment No.1") to the Redevelopment Plan; and WHEREAS, a draft Redevelopment Plan for the La Quinta Redevelopment Project as Amended by Amendment No.1 the Amended Redevelopment Plan") has been prepared in accordance with the provisions of the Community Redevelopment Law; and WHEREAS, the Amended Redevelopment Plan provides for the allocation of taxes from the La Quinta Redevelopment Project the Project Area" or the Project"); and WHEREAS, Section 33334.2 of the Community Redevelopment Law requires that not less than twenty percent 20%) of all taxes allocated to the Agency pursuant to Section 33670 of the Community Redevelopment Law be used for the purpose of increasing, improving and preserving the community's supply of low- and moderate-income housing available at affordable housing cost; and WHEREAS, Section 33334.2(g) of the Community Redevelopment Law provides that such funds may be used outside the Project Area if a fmding is rnade by resolution of the Agency and the City Council that such use will be of benefit to the Project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the La Quinta Redevelopment Agency as follows: Secdon 1.
