RDA Resolution 1993-06w*h2 RESOLUTION NO. RA93-6 A RESOLUTION OF THE LA QUINTA REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY DETERMINING THAT CERTAIN PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS ARE OF BENEFIT TO THE IMMEDIATE NEIGHBORHOOD IN WHICH THE PROJECT IS LOCATED AND DETERMINING THAT NO OTHER REASONABLE MEANS OF FINANCING ARE AVAILABLE TO THE COMMUNITY. WHEREAS, the La Quinta Redevelopment Agency the 11Ageflcy'1) desires to pay a portion of the cost of certain public improvements relating to the Whitewater/Washington Street Bridge Widening Project the IvprojectII) which will be of benefit to the La Quinta Redevelopment Project Area No. 1 and the immediate neighborhood in which the Project is located; and WHEREAS, California health and Safety Code Section 33445 provides that the Agency may, with the consent of the legislative body, pay all or part of the value of the land for and the cost of the installation and construction of any building, facility, structure, or other improvement which is publicly owned either within or without the project area, upon a finding that the improvements are of benefit to the project area or the immediate neighborhood in which the project is located and that there is no other reasonable means of financing such improvements available to the comunity. NOW, THEREFORE, the La Quinta Redevelopment Agency does hereby find and determine as follows: Section 1. Pursuant to health and Safety Code Section 33445: 1) the public improvements are of benefit to the Project Area and the immediate neighborhood in which the Project is located; and ii) no other reasonable means of financing the improvements are available to the community within the City of La Quinta.
