A RESOLUTION OF THE LA QUINTA REDEVELOPMENT
AGENCY ACKNOWLEDGING RECEIPT OF THE
REDEVELOPMENT PLAN, THE DRAFT
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT AND TUE
PRELIMINARY REPORT FOR AMENDMENT NO.1 TO
TUE LA QUINTA REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT NO.1
AND AUTHORIZING TRANSMITTAL OF THE
DOCUMENTS IN THE MANNER REQUIRED BY LAW
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of La Quinta the City Council") did
duly pass and adopt Ordinance 43 on November 29, 1983, and did thereby adopt and approve
the Redevelopment Plan for the La Quinta Redevelopment Project No.1 the Redevelopment
Plan"); and,
WHEREAS, the La Quinta Redevelopment Agency the Agency*) has initiated
proceedings for the consideration of the adoption of an amendment Amendment No.1") to the
Redevelopment Plan and in connection with such proceedings has caused to be prepared a
proposed Redevelopment Plan for the La Quinta Redevelopment Project No.1 as Amended by
Amendment No.1 the Amended Redevelopment Plan"); and,
WHEREAS, the Community Redevelopment Law, California Health and Safety
Code Section 33000, et seq. the Community Redevelopment Law"), provides that before the
proposed Amended Redevelopment Plan is submitted to the City Council for consideration, it
shall first be submitted to the Planning Commission for its report and recommendation
concerning the proposed Amended Redevelopment Plan and its conformity to the City's General
Plan and to the Project Area Committee; and,
WHEREAS, the Agency desires to make the draft of the Amended Redevelopment
Plan available to affected taxing entities for their information; and,
WHEREAS, a draft Environmental Impact Report EIR") has been prepared in
connection with the proposed Amendment No. 1 in accordance with the provisions of the
California Environmental Quality Act, California Health and Safety Code Section 21000, et seq.,
CEQA") and the CEQA Guidelines, Title 14, Chapter 3 of the California Administrative Code
Sections 1500 et seq., the CEQA Guidelines"); and,
WHEREAS, Section 33333.3 of the Community Redevelopment Law requires that
the Agency send a copy of the draft EIR to each affected taxing entity; and,
WHEREAS, CEQA and the CEQA Guidelines require that the Agency notify the
State Office of Planning and Research, the responsible agencies and interested members of the
public of the availability of the draft EIR for review and comment; and,

WHEREAS, Section 33344.5 of the Community Redevelopment Law requires that
a Preliminary Report be prepared in connection with the adoption of the Amended
Redevelopment Plan and transmitted to each affected taxing entity; and,
WHEREAS, the Agency has caused the report required by Section 33344.5 of the
Community Redevelopment Law to he prepared.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the La Quinta Redevelopment
Agency as follows:
SECTION 1: The Agency bereby receives the proposed Amended Redevelopment
Plan for the La Quinta Redevelopment Project No.1 and authorizes the Executive Director of
the Agency to transmit the proposed Amended Redevelopment Plan to the Planning Commission,
the Project Area Committee, all affected taxing entities and interested persons as required by the
Community Redevelopment Law.
SECTION 2: The Agency hereby receives the draft Environmental Impact Report
prepared in connection with Amendment No.1 to the Redevelopment Plan for the La Quinta
Redevelopment Project No.1 and authorizes and directs the Executive Director of the Agency
to cause notification and transmittal of the draft Environmental Impact Report in the manner
required by law.
SECTION 3: The Agency hereby receives the Preliminary Report prepared in
connection with Amendment No.1 to the Redevelopment Plan for the La Quinta Redevelopment
Project No.1 and authorizes the Executive Director of the Agency to transmit the Preliminary
Report to the affected taxing agencies.

the following vote:
