Board Member Henderson wished to have staff look into the possibility of having rehabilitation loans for very-low, low, and moderate-income families, noting that the properties would be covenanted and, therefore, apply toward the credits that the City needs. Board Member Sniff felt it's worth having staff look into it and bring back some information regarding feasibility, amount of dollars available, criteria for qualification, term of years and security, limit to be spent on each home, and level of control. He felt this program would compliment the home improvement program that he suggested at a Council meeting a few weeks ago, and hoped to see a report back on both programs within the next two weeks. Board concurred on directing staff to look into a rehabilitation program for very- low, low, and moderate-income families.
