AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LA QUINTA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING
SECTION 11.72.030(0) OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE RELATING TO OUTDOOR BURNING
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA QUINTA, CALIFORNIA, DOES
HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. That Title 11, Chapter 11.72, Section 11.72.030(0) is hereby amended to
read as follows:
"Outdoor burning of any material or structure unless sanctioned by the Fire Department
as a training fire or when used as a cooking or comfort fire contained in a fire proof
container no larger than four (4) feet in diameter".
SECTION II. EFFECTIVE DATE: This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect thirty (30) days after its adoption.
SECTION III. POSTING: The City Clerk shall within fifteen (15) days after
_ passage of this Ordinance, cause it to be posted in at least three (3) public places designated by
resolution of the City Council; shall certify to the adoption and posting of this Ordinance; and
shall cause this Ordinance and its certification, together with proof of posting to be entered into
the Book of Ordinances of the City of La Quinta.
